DESCRIPTION:
Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is an 80/20 funding partnership between the Government of Alberta, and municipalities or Métis Settlements. Provincially, the FCSS program receives its mandate from the Family Community Support Services Act and Regulation.
Viking/Beaver FCSS has two offices situated in Viking and Holden. We services the residents in all the communities situated in the east half of Beaver County. These municipalities partner with the Province of Alberta to deliver preventive social initiatives that enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities. Municipalities, through board members appointed on their behalf, determine where the need for programming and services lies. Programs and services can be targeted to individuals of any age, to families, or to entire communities. We also provide information and referral services and support to volunteer work in the community.
Viking office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Holden office hours are Monday to Thursday 1-4:30
